Bengaluru: Fake CD case - HC quashes appeal seeking hearing cancellation

Bengaluru, May 6: The state high court's Dharwad bench on Tuesday, May 5 quashed an appeal filed by certain persons who had sought cancellation of hearing into a case of creation of fake CD to damage the reputation of Sri Raghveshwara Bharathi Swamiji of Shri Ramachandrapura Math.

The CD was allegedly doctored by certain persons opposing the Swamiji in order to sully his image. Accused in the case, Vishwanath, Phaniraj and others had filed the appeal.

The bench presided over by justice Suraj Govindaraj which had reserved the judgement, published the orders through video conference on Tuesday. The high court, which dismissed the appeal, instructed the Kumta court which is hearing the case, to complete the hearing within a year.
