Udupi: Public Felicitation Held for ‘Mr Inter University’ Anil

Udupi, Jan 29: A public felicitation was organized for ‘Mr Inter University’ Anil, a final year BCom student of Milagres College, recently at Sathekatte, Udupi. 

Earlier this month, Anil won the gold medal and ‘Mr Inter University’ title at the All India Inter University competition held at Jalandhar. 



It is the first title that has come to Mangalore University. Earlier Anil had won the ‘Mr Mangalore University’ title for the second time. A cash award of over Rs 1 lac was given to Anil. 

Milagres College, Milagres Church and parishoners, Rotary and Lions Club, Kallianpur, rickshaw owners association, auto rickshaw association, businessmen’s association, and the parent-teachers and old students association of the college joined in honouring Anil. 

Correspondent of the college Fr Marcel Saldanha presided. MLA Raghupathy Bhat and Fr Saldanha felicitated Anil, his coach, and his parents. Members of the district and state bodybuilding association, physical director of Milagres College Dias, and the physical director of the university were present. 

Principal Fr Mascarenhas welcomed while Vincent Alva read the felicitation letter. Dr Neri Carnelio proposed the vote of thanks and Joseph Fernandes compered.
