Bangalore: Saakalya to Mark One Year Celebration at Little Sisters for Poor

Bangalore, Feb 13: Saakalya in their effort to make a small difference to the world will hold birthday celebration of inmates of ‘Little Sisters for Poor’, an old age home near Baldwain School on Hosur Road here on Saturday February 13 at 3.15 pm.

The group will celebrate the occasion to mark a year of its meaningful formation from the very place where it all started. On the occasion, the website  http://www.saakalya.info// will also be launched.

About its Inception

What began as a birthday celebration of a few inmates of an old age home, paved way to dozen of events. What followed in span of a year included musical programmes, health camps, distribution of clothes, beddings, grinders and special sandals for the leprosy cured among others. The selfless deeds have support of over 50 people from various sections of the society that touched more than 200 lives.
