Kaup, Jul 24: Two sons died in quick succession after performing the final religious rites of their deceased mother. This incident happened at Padubidri on Wednesday, July 22.
Varijakshi Acharya (80), wife of the late Venkatarya Acharya, living near Durgadevi Bhajana Mandir, Padubidri, had died recently. As per Hindu customs, religious rites were held since the last some days and final religious rites praying for the welfare and peace of the departed soul were performed by the three sons of Varijakshi on Wednesday.
At around 4 pm that day, the eldest son, Uday Acharya (55), suffered a heart attack and lost his life. At 2.30 am the same night, another man, Vishwanath Acharya (45) also died of health complications. Vishwanath, it is learnt, was unmarried.
