Bantwal: Food kits distributed to artistes of Yakshagana, Janapada, drama, temple dancers

Bantwal, Aug 24: Food kits were distributed under the collaboration of ISKCON, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, Puttur district at Hotel Rangoli auditorium in B C Road, on Monday, August 24 to the Yakshagana artistes, temple dancers, Janapada artistes and drama artistes who are have been facing difficulties.

Mangaluru ISKCON president Karunya Das said that illnesses are troubling us as we have stayed out of religion. “The protection of humanity is possible through the path of Krishna and Rama. We get happiness and comfort when we do noble work.”

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguthu conveyed his wishes. VHP Puttur district president Dr Prasanna said that ISKCON has extended help to several people through its Akshaya Patra scheme. “VHP too has helped those in distress,” he said.

Hotelier Sadananda D Shetty, VHP district chief secretary Sathish, Bajrang Dal district convener Sridhar Tenkila were on the dais. VHP leader, Yakshagana artiste Sarapady Ashok Shetty introduced the gathering and Yakshagana artiste Jagadish Nalka rendered a vote of thanks.
