Ballari: Alleging harassment, bank legal advisor ends life

Ballari, Aug 26: Legal advisor of a private bank, Mahesh, committed suicide at the bank on Tuesday August 25. Mahesh video recorded the consumption of poison, sitting in the bank office. It is said that he was frustrated by the harassment meted out to him by the bank's higher officials.

He was working in the bank's branch at Ballari Road here for the last several years. It is said that he was facing harassment by higher officials. Reportedly, he was being pressurized by them to provide favourable legal opinion even in cases where the documents furnished by the customers were not in order.
