Puttur, Aug 27: The 12-kilometre stretch of highway passing through Charmadi ghat and repair work on the stretch of the national highway 75 between the B C Road and Addahole will be taken up immediately after the rains recede, said Dakshina Kannada MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, August 26, Nalin said that potholes have appeared on the highway because of heavy rainfall. He said that repair is not feasible during the monsoon months and that the same will begin after September. He clarified that a grant for the same has already been released.

He explained that the four-lane work between B C Road and Addahole on national highway 75 has been stranded because of some legal issues.  He said that two new tenders have been submitted for the same and further processes will follow.
