Karkala: Woman hangs herself at home

Karkala, Aug 31: Vidya Shenoy (54), a native of Udupi, hanged herself from a ceiling fan at her home located near Karkala police station on Sunday, August 30.

Vidya used to stay in a flat at Udupi along with husband, Laxman Shenoy. On August 29, she had left home in the afternoon, telling her husband that he would be visiting Sri Krishna Math. She did not return till night and could not be contacted.

A thorough check revealed that she had visited Karkala and committed suicide at her home there. A case of suicide thereafter was registered in the town police station here.
