Bhatkal: Two tourists drown at Murudeshwar

Bhatkal, Aug 31: Two persons, who belonged to two different groups of tourists who arrived at Murudeshwar in the taluk for the tour on Sunday, August 30 drowned in the sea on the same day.

One of them was from Bengaluru while the other belonged to Soraba in Shivamogga district. Abhijit (24), who happened to be one of the victims, was from Yelahanka Newtown Bengaluru. He was employed in an electronic company.

The other person who died was Sharath Jagadeesh Ballari (18) from Jayanthiwada in Halebsoraba in Soraba taluk, Shivamogga district. He was a student.

Both the bodies were recovered later and postmortem was performed. The police have registered a case in this regard.
