Mangaluru, Aug 31: Dakshina Kannada district National Student Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest against Mangalore University on Monday August 31, opposing the programme pertaining to New Education Policy where only Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was invited.
NSUI members raised slogans against Mangalore University vice chancellor.
NSUI district general secretary Sawad Sullia alleged that Mangalore University vice chancellor is behaving like a puppet of ABVP. “Without holding any discussion in the parliament, with the state government and student organisations, the central government is introducing New Education Policy. This is nothing but the conspiracy to saffronise education,” he said.
NSUI members Savanak Rai, Farooq, Anvith Kateel and Souhad Goonadka were present.
