Kasargod, Sep 10: D R Meghashree, a Kannadiga, has been appointed as the sub-collector of Kanhangad. She has taken over charge of this post.
D R Meghashree, who is from Chitradurga district, had served as assistant district collector of Kozhikode district before being posted in Kanhangad.
She said after assuming office that Kasargod district has plenty of opportunities for the tourism sector and said she plans to make the best use of the opportunities available. She added that once the COVID issue is fully addressed, the officials can concentrate on the tourism sector.
