Mangaluru: DySP Gangi Reddy granted bail by high court

Mangaluru, Sep 10: Deputy superintendent (DySP) of police Gangi Reddy who was facing an allegation of accepting a bribe, was sentenced after the charge was proved in the Lokayukta special court here.

Now, the state high court has granted him conditional bail. The high court has also stayed the jail term granted by the lower court.

Gangi Reddy, who had been lodged in jail, has been released. He was facing the charge of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. He had been given four years jail term and a fine of Rs 5 lac.
