Udupi: Kaniyoor seer decorates idol of infant Balakrishna in golden cradle

Udupi, Sep 10: Kaniyoor seer Vidyavallabha Sripada decorated the idol of the deity of infant Balakrishna in the golden cradle in Krishna math to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami. Paryaya Ishapriya performed the puja offering a lac of Tulasi leaves.

Paryaya seer, Ishapriya Sripada, Vidyadheesha Sripada, Vidyavallabha Sripada and Vidyarajeshwara Sripada set in motion the process of preparing laddoos for the special puja.



The seers and the devotees fasted for the entire day on Thursday. Arghya Pradaana will be held in the early hours of Friday at 12.16 am. Vitlapindi will be performed on Friday. The entry of devotees is banned to Car Street between 3 pm and 6 pm on Friday. “Devotees can obtain darshan of the deity in the evening through Kanakana Kindi,” informed the math sources.
