Udupi, Sep 10: “The new National Education Policy should be discussed in Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad before its implementation,” said Student Islamic Organization district president Nasir Hoode. He was speaking at a press conference held in Udupi press club on Thursday, September 10.

“The unilateral decision of the union government to implement it without discussing it has given rise to several suspicions. We understand that the policy completely changes the education system for children from three years of age to 18 years of age. The gram panchayats are responsible to implement the policy in schools and panchayat level. Therefore, a booklet on the new policy should be available to the people. Its pros and cons should be discussed at the school, panchayat, taluk, district and state level. We hope the policy is suitable for Karnataka state and will be implemented effectively,” he said.

Dr Fahim Hoode campus secretary, Mohammed Sharook district secretary, members Vasim Abdulla, Ayan Malpe and Yasin Manna were present.
