Udupi, Sep 11: Udupi block Congress handed over Arogya kits to Arogya Hasta activists here, and four panchayats on September 10, besides holding a seminar on the duties of the activists.

District Congress president, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor said that corona warriors in the party need to visit houses, enquire about the health of residents in their wards, hand over brochures on COVID-19 and guide those who are suffering from fever to contact doctors creating awareness.

Dr Gopala Poojary and Dr Sandeep Sanil explained the precautions that need to be taken to prevent the spread of the virus.

Block Congress president, Sathish Ameen Padukere called on making Arogya Hasta scheme a success and making the Congress party win with huge margins in the upcoming panchayat elections. The kits were distributed to nearly 30 people.

Convener Sukumar, Chandrika Shetty, municipal council corporator Vijaya Bailur, Keshava M Kotian, Ganesh Nergi, Dhananjay Kunder, Madhava Bannaje, Narayana Kunder, Srinivas Hebbar and party’s corona warriors were present. Block Congress chief secretary Janardhan Bhandarkar welcomed everyone and compered the programme.
