Bengaluru train: Southwestern railway adopts passenger-friendly time table

Bengaluru, Sep 11: The southwestern railway has revised the time table of Mangaluru - Bengaluru special train.

As per the request of many passengers, the time of departure of the train from Bengaluru has been advanced. From Mangaluru, the train begins its onward journey earlier than the previous timing. This time table however will be applicable till the movement of trains on this sector normalises.

Demand for time change had been made by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, south western railway consumers’ regional advisory committee member Kunjal Venkatesh Kini, and representatives of Westcoast Railway Yatri Development Committee.

As per the revised time table, KSR Bengaluru-Mangaluru Central special train (No.06515) leaves Bengaluru at 10.30 pm and reaches Mangaluru central at 9.25 am the next day. The Mangaluru central - KSR Bengaluru special express (No.06516) leaves Mangaluru at 7.15 pm and reaches Bengaluru at 4.15 am the next day. There is no change in the departure time of Bengaluru-Mangaluru central special express (via Mysuru). Parallel Mangaluru central-Bengaluru (No. 06518) train leaves at 7.15 am and reaches Bengaluru at 6.45 am the next day. The Yeshwantpur-Karwar special express (06585) departure from Yeshwantpur will have no changes but the arrival and time of departure of the train between Hassan and Bantwal will have slight changes.
