Bantwal, Sep 14: “Rural development is the mantra of the government. The demands of the people in the villages will be fulfilled in stages,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguthu who spoke after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various development works in Karopady gram panchayat limits. He assured of working to provide basic necessities and development as per the expectations of the people. “The cooperation of all is necessary to develop the taluk under the leadership of the prime minister and the chief minister,” he said.

Odiyoor temple seer, Gurudevananda Swamy said, "Roads should be developed for the development of the village which also develop the country,” he said.

Among the works that were inaugurated were:

Development of Palladakodi, Padyana road worth Rs 2.25 crore; re-tarring of Arasalike, Vagenadu road worth Rs 60 lac; break wall at Jala Durgaparameshwari temple Padpu, Anekallu worth Rs 75 lac; concretization of Palige, Nalike Colony road at Rs 15 lac, Chellangaru, scheduled tribe colony road at Rs 5 lac; drainage in front of Malarai temple at Rs 5 lac; Odiyooru Banary road at Rs 30 lacs; Padekallu Pervodi road at Rs 10 lacs; Vagenadu Pambathaje road at Rs 5 lacs; Devasya, Patla, Parandaramoole road at Rs 1.25 lacs; Kadpalathadka high mast light at Rs 1.25 lac; Bengadapadpu high mast light at Rs 1.25 lac; Bengadapadpu high mast light at Rs 1.25 lac; Odiyoor Gurudev Datta Samsthana high mast at Rs 1.25 lac and Rajarajeshwari Bhajana Mandira Bedagudde road.

Projects in progress after the release of funds:

The road from Kammaje to Gurudev Samsthana at Rs 1 crore; Getha Muguli road concretization at Rs 1 crore; Padyana Gadijage Kallurti temple road at Rs 10 lac and foundation stone for Betha Padekallu road were laid by the MLA.

Bantwal Buda president Devadas Shetty, chief secretary Ravish Shetty Karkala, Karopady gram panchayat former president Baby R Shetty and Salethoor gram panchayat former president Chandravati Malar, S T morcha president Rama Naik, Nelajaladurgaparameshwari temple trustee Gopalakrishna Bhat, Betha, Raitha morcha treasurer Prashanth Shetty Agari, Kanyana gram panchayat former president Raghurama Shetty Kanyana, former district panchayat member Lingappa Gowda, Karopady Service Co-operative Bank president Vigneshar Bhat, vice president Patla Raghunath Shetty, Jayaram Mittanadka, Laxmana Mambady, Ashwath Shetty, Shashikiran Shetty, Sunil Padyana, PWD senior divisional engineer Shanmugam, junior division engineer Preetham, small irrigation department engineer Shivaprasanna were present.

Kolnadu Maha Shakti center president Shivaprasad Shetty welcomed the gathering.
