Bengaluru: Drug case - Police expand Aditya Alva's hunt to other states

Bengaluru, Sep 14: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) personnel have stepped their investigation into the drug's link of the Sandalwood. They have in the meantime, also been hunting for some missing accused. The search is on in major cities like Mumbai, New Delhi and other states.

Aditya Alva accused in the drugs case has not been traced in spite of the best efforts made since a week. The police are looking for him in the houses of his friends and relatives. The CCB police say that Aditya has switched off his mobile phone and has gone into hiding. This is creating bottlenecks for them.

Reportedly, Alva has been changing his hiding place often. CCB sources say that Aditya, who had a close connection with the accused, had taken part in about three parties. He has been named as an accused in a drugs case registered in Cottonpet police station here.

Alva had taken part in several parties where actress, Ragini, was also present. Immediately on getting this information, the police had undertaken a search for him, which continues even now. Advocates for Alva have sought anticipatory bail, and the case is expected to come before the court today.
