Mangaluru, Sep 14: In view of celebrating the feast of Exaltation of Holy Cross, the members of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Cordel Unit donated blood in Father Muller Blood bank on Monday, September 14.
The blood donation was held under the initiative of Red Drop Campaign organized by ICYM Mangaluru diocese. Cordel church, dedicated to Holy Cross, celebrates its titular feast on September 14 every year and holds its grand celebration the subsequent weekend.
This year, as there is a rising necessity in blood requirement due to COVID-19, the members decided to celebrate the feast in a significant way and proceeded towards donating blood for the noble cause. Around 15 people including the parishioners participated in the blood donation.
ICYM Cordel salutes the donors and expressed pride and gratitude for their generous deed.
