Udupi: Three held for ganja consumption

Udupi, Sep 15: Sudhakar, assistant police inspector of Malpe station, found that Puneet (18) from Santhekatte Puttur village and Kaushik Devadiga (18) from Kallakanda Road, Nittur Udupi had consumed drugs. They were produced before the KMC forensic science experts who certified that they had consumed ganja.

During his rounds, Gangolli police inspector, Bheemashankar Sinnur Sanganna found that a person at Maravanthe beach had consumed ganja. On checking, he found that the person was in an inebriated condition. He produced the person, identified as Nishan (20) from Mullikatte, Hosadu village of Kundapur taluk, before the KMC forensic experts where it was found that he had consumed ganja.

All three cases were detected on Sunday September 13. Cases were registered against all the three under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and investigation is on.
