Kasargod: Furniture making unit gutted in fire

Kasargod, Sep 15: A furniture-making industry located at Bambrana Coorithadka owned by Trivikram Acharya, a resident of Uluvaru was reduced to ashes in a fire which started early morning on Monday, September 14.

Acharya had gone home after closing the facility on the evening of September 13. On Monday morning he was informed by some people that smoke was billowing out of his furniture-making unit. The owner reached the store and sounded the fire brigade. The fire brigade personnel succeeded in dousing the fire after some time.

A loss of Rs 25 lac has been estimated. Kumble police visited the spot and undertook scrutiny.
