Udupi: Rotary Club hands over Dialysis Centre to Goretti Hospital

Udupi, Sep 15: Rotary Club handed over a complete state of the art Dialysis Centre to Goretti Hospital Santhekatte, Kallianpur, comprising of three hemodialysis machines, reverse osmosis plant, power generator, purpose-built beds, electrical fittings, air conditioners, UPS and wash facility on Friday, September 11.

District governor, RI Dist 3182, Rtn Rajaram Bhat unveiled the plaque, past district governor Abhinandan A Shetty cut the ribbon to declare the facilities open in the presence of PDG Rtn Sadananda Chatra, former district global grant chairman Sr Joyce James CMO of Goretti Hospital, Rtn HNS Rao technical document compiler, Dr R N Bhat visiting doctor at the Goretti hospital were among the host of Rotarians, guests and general public present at the ceremony.



The Rs 29 lac facility was sponsored and funded by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, Rotary Club Central Chester County, Rotary Club Smithfield and Rotary Club of Kallianpur.

Fr Lesley D’Souza parish priest of Mount Rosary Church, Santhekatte blessed the premises.

A formal stage function that was held at the Kallianpur Rotary Clubhouse was attended by dignitaries of Rotary Clubs, Sr Joyce James CMO of Goretti Hospital, Sr Priya administrator of the hospital along with a number of Rotarians, nuns, hospital staff and guests, to honour the prime movers of the project.
