Udupi, Sep 15: Ansar, a social worker from here who has helped many people facing a crisis in various ways proved once again that he is there for everyone when he helped a family to pay the hospital bill and get discharged.

Basavaraju, who is from Hubballi, has been living at Udyavar near here since the last 30 years. Because of ill health, he had got himself admitted into Adarsha Hospital here 15 days back. On Monday, September 14, he had returned to full health and was about to be discharged.

Even after the hospital authorities extended whatever concessions they could to the family, Basavaraju had to pay Rs 4,300. As the family, which expected to get the money from a certain source failed to get it, the family which already was in crisis having no work, turned clueless what to do.

The family got in touch with a person who has been helping people since the last 15 years. Social worker, Ansar understood their problem, took pity on them and cleared the hospital bill by paying from his own pocket. Abid Ali Udyavar and some others also extended help.

The family profusely thanked Ansar but for this social worker, it was another routine day as he has been helping people facing critical situations readily by extending his helping hand.
