Udupi: Rumours regarding discrepancies in Covid-19 treatment should not be believed: DHO

Udupi, Sep 15: “Free Covid-19 treatment is being provided in government and private hospitals completely without discrimination of APL and BPL cards. Patients should not believe any rumours,” said district health and family health officer Dr Sudhir Chandra.

He was speaking in a meeting presided over by district panchayat president Dinaker Babu in district panchayat auditorium on Tuesday, September 15.

“Pamphlets about Covid tests will be printed and will be distributed to all the houses by gram panchayats,” said CEO Preeti Geylot.

Kundapur deputy conservator of forest Ashish Reddy said that damaged roads in forest limits will be inspected. Members objected to the repeated absence of officials to explain delay in road works.

District surgeon Dr Madhusoodan Nayak said that dialysis machines will be installed in Hebri and Kaup hospitals also.

“There is progress of 20 percent in recording farm produce in mobiles against the target of 100 percent. Farmers can register them till September 23,” said agricultural department joint director Kempegowda.

Member Reshma asked to provide opportunities for exhibition of silk sarees to promote their production and use.

Vice president Sheela K Shetty, social justice standing committee president Shobha G Putran, assistant secretary Kiran Padnekar and chief project officer Srinivas Rao were present.
