Mangaluru: Bishop launches CBE ERP web application for education

Mangaluru, Sep 16: On the auspicious day of his Second Episcopal Ordination, Bishop of Mangaluru, Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, launched the Catholic Board of Education’s Enterprise Resource Planning - Web Application on September 15 at the Catholic Board of Education Office, Pastoral Institute, here.

The bishop in his inaugural address said, "Our knowledge of grammar, numerical and above all values taught by our teachers remains firmly embedded than the content that we learnt in school. Education must lead to an enlightened society, a society of justice, give and take culture. The Catholic Board of Education is reaching to children in rural areas and serves them selflessly without aiming at profit. He appreciated the effort of CBE in launching the web application of Enterprise Resource Planning.

Fr Anthony Michael Shera, secretary of CBE explained the importance and technicality of CBE ERP web application. Shasidhar from admin explained the menus and services of the CBE ERP system.



Vicar-general and vice-president of CBE, Msgr Maxim Noronha was present on the dais.

Fr Alwyn Serrao compered the programme, headmaster of Rosario High School, Aloysius D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

Director of the Pastoral Institute, Fr Peter D'Souza, CBE governing board and commission members, priests and special invitees were present.

This CBE ERP suite is an all-in-one online web portal software that manages schools, colleges and administrative processes. It has everything about all the individual institutions that are governed by the Catholic Board of Education, facilitates all the features that are required and help to govern the education process smoothly.

CBE ERP web portal provides a user-friendly dashboard, with login access for all individual schools, colleges, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, students, parents, guardians and the management (the Catholic Board of Education).

The various modules available in this CBE ERP facilitate all the processes and applications to run one institution.

CBE ERP has several modules to manage individual timetables, attendance, accounts, notebook, campus news, hostel, library, transportation, school calendar, exam module, events, and many more. It has a fully-fledged human resource module to manage the payroll and employee payslips. The finance module helps to plan and allot different fee structures to students.
