Kasargod, Sep 16: Relating to the murders of two youth Congress workers Kripesh and Sharatlal recently at Peria Kallyot, the families of the slain party workers have filed fresh applications in the Supreme Court and the high court.

The high court division bench had ordered the case to be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation for a probe. The state government has appealed against this order. The relatives of the deceased political workers have sought a stay on these appeals.

The courts have been approached the crime branch that has failed to hand over the case diary to the CBI even after the high court directed it to do so. The division bench of the Supreme Court has been asked to pass favourable orders.
