Bengaluru: State's coast, northern interior districts get heavy rainfall

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Sep 18: As an area of low pressure has been created over the Bay of Bengal, coastal and north interior Karnataka districts are likely to be pounded by heavy rainfall between September 19 and 21, the meteorological department has predicted.

Due to the above phenomenon, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will experience the surface wind of high velocity. As a result, different districts in the state have already been getting rains. After September 19, low pressure will happen again, as a result of which the north interior Karnataka and coast are likely to get heavy rainfall, the department added.

A yellow alert has been issued for Karnataka coast on September 18 and 19, and orange alert on September 20, 21, and 22.
