Mangaluru: Railways to run special trains to Chennai from September 27

Mangaluru, Sep 25: Railways will be pressing into service special trains every day to Chennai from the central station here beginning on September 27.

The special train No. 02602 will leave the central station at 1.30 pm every day and reach Chennai Central station at 5.35 am the next day. It leaves Chennai Central at 8.10 pm (No. 2601) and reaches Mangaluru at 12.10 pm the next day.

This train will have stops at Manjeshwar, Kasargod, Kanhangad, Cheruvathur, Payyannur, Payangady, Kannur, Mahe, Talassery, Vadagara, Katpady junction, Tiruvallur and Perambur stations. It will have one AC - 2 tier coach, four ac - 3 tier coaches, 10 sleeper coaches, four general second class coaches, ad two luggage cum brake vans.
