I do agree with the sentence, but I am sure the youngsters will come back from jail as much hardened criminals. Jails should have been a place where people transform to better citizens, in our case it is just the opposite. I think, the courts should find innovative ways of punishment, that can help a person transform.

Parvez, Mangalore-Muscat & Shahanawaz Kukkikatte, Dubai-Mangalore, don't worry about these young hoodlums or that they will be wasting their future. They have become heroes & martyrs of Hindutva brigade. Just wait & see. Yeddy, Eshwarappa & DVS Gowda or even Pramod Mutalk, Praveen Thogadia are there to suitably reward them, & they some at least will become MLAs, MLCs & even MPs while others will get other `lucrative' posts soon. Jai Ho BJP.

I totally disagree with the sentence. Everybody is aware that most of the members of the Rama Sene are unemployed goons of Mutalik & Prasad Attavar. They must be extremely pleased with the sentence as they will now be rest assured of food & shelter for the next 25 months. The imprisonment should have been rigorous & not simple as these hardcore criminals deserve to be dealt with severely.

I feel that these young men must be taught romantic poetry. They should be intoxicated with love songs. Then they will realize that there is much more to life than just pelting stones. Dan (Belthangady)

It is very unfortunate that the jailed persons are very very young. Instead of sending them to jail, court could have ordered the rehabilitation of such young youths. I strongly advocate for the jail sentence of Mutalik and Attavar and other ring leaders who act behind the curtain and are responsible for instigating violence. The jailed youths were acting at the behest of their mentors. I feel, 50 months and 12 days jail sentence would have been muct appropriate for these ring leaders. Its a strong message and I salute to the impartial judiciary. Long live secular India.

Well done this will be a lesson to the unemployed who create trouble, though the punishment is not harsh this is a begining. All the damages incured should be made paid for by these people, so that no one else will create such mischief in future. Any body who gives information during such incidents must be rewarded, so that more people will be behind to catch the culprits.
