Superstitious CSK take long route to Mumbai

New Delhi, Apr 21 (IANS): Cricketers have superstitions like not leaving their seats at critical junctures in the match or always wearing the lucky gear or shoes, but an astrological advice took Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all the way from Dharamsala to Mumbai via Chennai for their semi-final in the Indian Premier League.

A source close to CSK told IANS that the team missed its chartered flight from Dharamsala after their last match against Punjab Kings XI Sunday and had to motor down to Chandigarh.

Then they apparently realised that it was not an auspicious day to travel to Mumbai directly for such an important match and so the players flew to Chennai and are expected to arrive in the western metropolis only Wednesday when all the other three semi-finalists would already be in the city.

CSK will meet reigning champions Deccan Chargers in the second semi-final Thursday after the first semi-final Wednesday between Mumbai Indians and Bangalore Royal Challengers.
