Mangalore, Apr 26: The works of literature are the permanent asset towards knowledge and never lose their relevance. No technological innovations can occupy the place of books, said Dr Amritha Someshwar, veteran scholar releasing Tulu books at a programme, Bisu Minadana organized by Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy at the Town Hall on April 26.

The knowledge from the books makes an intellectual man, he said adding that it is heartening to see that there is increase in the activity of publishing books though it is speculated that leadership has dropped. The release of more Tulu books will help in the development of the language, he observed.
