Udupi: Woman complains of husband's affair, mental torture

Udupi, Nov 11: A woman has filed a complaint in the women's police station here alleging that her husband, who had fallen in love with her and married her, has developed an illicit relationship with another lady. She says that when questioned her husband had attacked her and posed life threats to her.

The lady, identified as Rekha, stated that she had married Nagarjun five years ago. He was working at Bengaluru. Thereafter, her husband shifted base to Saligrama in the taluk where he lived with his mother at Suvarna Residency. He got employed in a private hospital at Mangaluru. During this period, he came into contact with a lady, Soumya, and thereafter has been mainitaining distance from his wife, the complainant has alleged.

Rekha stated that she was subjected to mental torture and her ornaments have been sold by her husband. She also claimed that her husband and the other woman had together beat her up and posed threats to her life.

    Clear case that the woman is fed up of her husband and wants to file false complaints against him to claim compensation. Adultery is not a crime according to supreme Court.
