Bengaluru: CM inaugurates Model Traditional Village programme

Bengaluru, Nov 13: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa inaugurated the Model Traditional Village developed by the Karnataka Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department in Bengaluru on Friday.

Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K S Eshwarappa and Byatarayanapura Congress MLA C Krishna Byregowda were present on the occasion.

In his inaugural address, the Chief Minister lauded the initiative taken by Byregowda during his tenure as State’s Agriculture Minister and former Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister H K Patil for their efforts in propagating the programme to showcase model and traditional villages that are self-sufficient in meeting the needs of the people.

Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Vandita Sharma, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department Principal Secretary L K Atiq and other senior officials participated in the programme.

Agricultural prices commission Chief Meets CM

Earlier, Karnataka Agricultural Prices Commission Chairman Hanumagouda Belakurki called on the Chief Minister.

The Agricultural Prices Commission submitted the report on the findings pertaining to agriculture and horticulture prices pertaining to the years 2019-20 and 2020-21.

Agriculture Minister B C Patil and Horticulture and Sericulture Minister Narayana Gowda were present.
