Los Angeles, June 2 (IANS): Actress-producer Renee Zellweger has acquired the rights to adapt writer Brantly Martin's novel "Pillage" into a movie.
Variety.com reports that Zellweger will produce "Pillage" with PalmStar Entertainment's Kevin Frakes. John Krokidas has been roped in to direct the film that is due to go on floors in the first half of next year in New York.
Set in Manhattan, "Pillage" centres on four best friends who rebel against their dead-end lives by searching for the perfect party in the downtown nightlife scene.
