Mangalore, Jun 3: Sri Mokshaa, a movie directed by Keshav Shetty with 99% cast being from the city is all set to release on Thursday June 10.

Addressing presspersons at the press club here Sachin, the movie’s lead actor said that, the script of Sri Mokshaa was different and satisfying to him. “We have worked hard to make the movie a huge hit.  Most Mangaloreans being part of the movie is a dream come true.” he added.

Encounter Dayanayak fame Sachin Suvarna started his career in the film industry with Astitva director Mahesh Manjrekar as an assistant director. He has the experience of working in Bollywood hits like Vaastav, Kurukshetra and Black Friday among others.

After Encounter Dayanayak and Ei Preethi Onthara, Sri Mokshaa is Sachin’s third Kannada movie. He is also played a part in the screenplay and script writing of Sri Mokshaa.

There were lots of speculations about the movie that it is based on a gangster. “The movie though inspired by a gangster is based on human relationships. It is mainly a story of a fisherman who later joins underworld”, clarified Sachin.

Director Keshav Shetty, who has the experience of working in medias like ETV and Zee Kannada, said that Mangalorean culture, scenic beauty is very well reflected in the movie. He also said that the movie is devoid of violence, promotes communal harmony and technically very good.

Shivu Jamakhandi, the script and lyrics writer said that Sachin chose to call for a press meet in Mangalore even before Bangalore as he had immense love and respect for the city. Working in Mangalore was a great experience, he added.

Ravi Bhat from Puttur is the cinematographer and Sujeet Shetty is the music director of the movie. Manohar Shetty Nandalike, well-known theatre person based in Mumbai and Mohan Joshi have also acted in the movie. Sujeet said that the music has already recieved good response from people and he hopes that it willl appeal to large number of listeners.

The movie contains lot of city flavour. The first scene of the movie was shot in Nehru Stadium, here. Tulu language is also used here and there in the movie. Apart from Mangalore it is shot in Bangalore, Mandya and Mirik in Darjeeling. It is a movie for the entire family and the crew strongly believes its worth-watching.

Vidya Suvarna, one of the producer and wife of Sachin Suvarna, and choreographer Santhosh among others were present.
