Mangalore: Tempo Kills Student, Injures Teacher

Mangalore, Jul 1: Denita Rodrigues (10), a sixth standard student of Mount Carmel School in Mary Hill in the city, lost her life after a Tata 407 goods tempo hit her on the evening of Wednesday June 30. She was waiting for a bus in a bus shelter at Mary Hill, along with a teacher named Linette Planet Pinto, who suffered injuries.

Denita was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Rodrigues, residents of Padavinangady here. After her mother delivered a baby two months ago at her sister's home in Kulaigudde, Vidyanagar, the student used to come to the school from Kulaigudde, it is learnt.

After school, the girl was waiting for bus in the company of the Pinto, a teacher of Infant Mary School in Mary Hill. Denita was killed on the spot. The injured teacher was shifted to a hospital. Driver of the vehicle ran away from the scene of the accident.

Kankanady policemen have seized the vehicle and registered a case. Investigations are on.

    Condolences to Rodrigues family. All car learners should be educated with proper safety instructions. For old car drivers, if they have any remarks fine should levied and should ask to go for test again.

    NO VALUE FOR HUMAL LIFE.IF ANY ACCIDENT EVEN IF DEATH NO PUNISHMENT TO THE DRIVER. THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO BRING ONE LAW ATLEAST TO PUNISH THE DRIVER WITH ONE SIDED ACCIDENT SEVER PUNISHMENT LIKE DEATH SENTENCE SINCE IN THESE CASES NO NEED OF PROVING THE NEGLIGENCE AS THERE IS NO VEHICLE FROM OTHER SIDE

    What a sad incident, due to a careless driver a innocent life is lost. He should be put behind bar's untill his death, that will open the eyes of all careless Driver's. May the soul of the child rest in peace and let God give the family the strength to bear the loss.

    Let the tempo driver work in Denita's house as servant for 20 years(FREE service).Let him understand the pain of parents and regret for the carelessnes which caused death of a innocent girl.If he goes to jail,he will come to the contact of big criminals and come out from the jail as supari killer.
