Udupi: Muslim Welfare Association Felicitates Meritorious Students

Udupi, Jul 8: Muslim Welfare Association here organized a programme to felicitate the Muslim students of the district who have secured 90% and above in the year’s SSLC and PUC examinations at Jamia Masjid here, recently.


 

The president of the association Janab Kallianpur Abdul Gafoor presided over the function. The former national secretary of SIO who is presently working for Qatar petroleum Sajid Ahmed Volakad was the chief guest. He distributed certificates, mementoes and cash awards to the selected students.

Speaking on the occasion, he said “The Muslim boys and girls are making a mark in academic field by securing top marks. Welfare Association’s effort to felicitate them is commendable. The students should take firm decisions at this stage towards their goal in life. It is the duty of parents to support their children achieves their ambition”.

Earlier the programme began with recital of Quranic versus by Khateeb of Jamia Masjid, Maulana Abdur Raheem Khan Sirani Qasmi. The secretary of the association Janab V S Umar narrated the objectives of the association and welcomed the gathering. Usman Ali delivered the vote of thanks.
