Karkala: Vedamurti Anantapadmanabha Bhat of Mahalingeshwar Temple, Nakre No More

Karkal, Jul 9: Seventy six year-old Vedamurti Anantapadmanabha Bhat, chief priest of Mahalingeshwara temple, Nakre, near here passed away on Thursday July 8, due to cardiac arrest at 12.45 am.



He had undergone bypass surgery a couple of years ago and recovered.

However, he collapsed while watching TV programme at 12.45 am on Thursday.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son who is a lawyer practicing at Udupi town. The last rites were held at the backyard of his residence, here on Thursday.  A large number of people were present on the occasion.
