Udupi, Jul 9: The Dakshina Kannada (DK) telecom district of BSNL launched 3 G mobile services in the district during a brief programme held here on Friday July 9.
The 3 G mobile service is now available across the telecom district of DK both in postpaid and prepaid plans. 3 G data is also available for high speed internet / data access with limits up to 3.6 mbps.
As a promotional offer, the video calls are now offered at 30 paisa per minute, which is much cheaper.
BSNL will offer 3 G mobile service – video calls / voice calls, high speed data internet access, mobile TV, tele-counselling, video conferencing, video streaming, and video gaming.
DK telecom principal general manager Y C Mishra, Manjunath Holla, K M Shetty, V G Nayak, and Shivaram Hegde were present on the occasion.
