Mangalore: Four Ore Trucks Confiscated for Violating Traffic Ban

Mangalore, Jul 16: The tahsildar of Mangalore taluk has confiscated four trucks, which had brought iron ore to New Mangalore Port, in violation of the ban enforced on the movement of ore trucks.

The trucks reportedly came from Tiptur. The deputy commissioners of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts have banned movement of ore trucks on the district roads till November 15, because of the monsoons.

The trucks have since been handed over to the custody of Panambur police station.
