Mangalore, Jul 17: The Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner (DC) has suspended Leena Britto, chief officer of Moodbidri municipality, and A S Rane, chief officer of Puttur municipality, from services with immediate effect.
A release from the office of the DC here said that the two officials have been suspended for committing dereliction of duty and violating Karnataka Civil Services Conduct Rules 1966. The officials had been found to have left their headquarters without obtaining prior permission either from the DC or other senior official.
Further they had failed to attend the progress review meeting on the distribution of sites in Vajpayeenagar.
