Udupi, Jul 18: A farewell function for Fr Richard Coelho, parish priest of Our Lady of Health, Shirva, here was held after 7.15 Holy Mass in the church, here on Sunday July 18.
Norbert Machado, vice president of Shirva parish council read the felicitation message.
Fr Maxim D’Souza, director of Don Bosco Youth Centre, Shirva and Fr Edwin D’Souza, dean of St Mary’s Post Graduation Centre were also present.
A large number of parishioners offered flowers and bouquets to Fr Richard Coelho and wished him all the best in his future endeavor. Fr Richard Coelho will take charge as administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady, here from outgoing administrator Fr Stany Tauro on Sunday July 25.
Fr Richard thanked all parishioners for their co-operation in parish activities and assured his prayers.
Shirva assistant parish priest Fr Stany D’Souza compered the programme. Parish council secretary Melvin Aranha proposed vote of thanks.
