Puttur: Gas Tanker Turns Turtle

Puttur, Jul 18:
(DHNS) A gas tanker turned turtle on NH 48 at Matha near Uppinangady on Sunday. The tanker was proceeding from Mangalore to Bangalore. As the gas started leaking, the movement of all the vehicles on the road was suspended for sometime fearing a fire mishap. 


 
Puttur police and fire service persoonel rushed to the spot and stopped the leakage of the gas. The Highway was reopened for the movement of vehicles after the gas leakage was controlled.

The gas will be transferred to another tanker. No one was injured in the mishap. A case has been registered.
