M’lore: Lions Clubs Int’l – Dist 324 D5, Dist Award 2009–10 Presented

Mangalore, Jul 19: The Lions Clubs International - District 324 D5, District Award 2009 – 2010, to honour those who have contributed to its growth, was held at Loyala Hall, St Aloysius College here on Sunday July 18.

MJF Lion Alwyn Patrao and his wife Lioness Prabha Patrao presented the awards. The awards were given in various categories.

While Lion of the Year was bagged by MJF Ln Ram Mohan Alva, Lioness of the Year was taken away by Lioness Sumangala Prabhakar. Lioness Nynette Tellis was adjudged Best Lioness Club president of the year, Leo Greeshma Rao was the Best Leo of the Year. Other awards, Lady Lion of the year was won by MJF Ln Nalini D’Sa, Best Donor of the Year by MJF Ln K C Prabhu, Lifetime Achievement Award by MJF Ln Dr M Shantharam Shetty, Knight of the Blind Award by Ln Dr M Jayaram Shetty, Badavara Bandhu Award by PDG PMJF Ln Harikrishna Punaroor, Best Advisor of the Year by MJF Ln Prof M Mohan Shetty, Best Administrator of the Year, PMJF Ln P Sadashiv Kini, Best Motivator of the Year, MJF Ln Austine Patrao and Best public relations officer of the year, MJF Ln M Sarvotham Anchan.

MJF Ln Peter Antony Pinto was the recipient of the Club Extension Wizard Award, while MJF Ln P Vitobha Bhandarkar, MJF Ln A Chandrahasa Shetty and MJF Ln Famida Ibrahim as well as MJF Ln B M Bharati won Best Region Chairperson of the Year, Best Governor’s Area Representative of the Year and Best Zone Chairpersons of the Year, respectively.
