Mangalore, Jul 19: A local court has once again dismissed a bail application moved by Rashid Malbari, the alleged close aide of underworld fugitive, Chota Shakeel. Malbari is under arrest for allegedly plotting to eliminate Sri Rama Sene chief, Pramod Mutalik, and BJP MP Varun Gandhi.

City advocate Purushottam Poojary had moved the bail application on behalf of Malbari. The third additional sessions judge, Narasimhamurty, declined to grant bail to Malbari.

Malbari, who was arrested by the policemen here, is presently lodged in Belgaum jail. He is also in the wanted list of the Mumbai police relating to underworld activities within their jurisdiction. After his arrest on March 29 last year, Malbari had been interrogated by the Mumbai police.
