London, July 20 (IANS) Hollywood actor Bruce Willis has asked the plaintiffs to discard a $28,000 lawsuit filed against him over a stained rug.
In May, the "Die Hard" star was sued by luxury goods suppliers Mansour after staff claimed they discovered a red wine spill on a handmade wool and silk carpet the star had returned.
The item had been at his Los Angeles home for two months - but Willis insisted he had nothing to do with the damage. According to his lawyer, Willis offered to have the rug professionally cleaned, but the company refused and demanded he pay the full sale price, reports dailystar.co.uk.
The star has filed his own suit at the Los Angeles Superior Court, demanding that the case be dismissed and that Mansour bosses pay his legal fees.
