Acting is Cool, But Hosting is So Much Fun: Mona Singh

Mumbai, Aug 15 (IANS) Actress Mona Singh, who played a cameo role in Aamir Khan-starrer blockbuster "3 Idiots", likes to act in films but says she enjoys hosting shows on TV.

"I definitely want to act, but hosting is something that I am really enjoying. The first show I ever hosted was 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja'. I was super nervous then, but now I am very comfortable," Mona told IANS.

Mona, who played Kareena Kapoor's sister in "3 Idiots", will be seen next on the small screen hosting Sony's "Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega" with actor Vishal Malhotra.

The actress hit it big with her TV character Jassi in "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin" (2003) and she still believes that nothing could be bigger than that.

"I personally feel that there can't be anything bigger than 'Jassi...' for me on TV, which is why I am not concentrating much on television (serials). TV is something that I started with so I don't want to say bye to that," said Mona.

Mona has two films releasing this year, "Laxman Rekha" by debutant Virag Mishra and "Utt Patang" by Abhinav, and both of them are with actor Vinay Pathak.

"I have two films with Vinay Pathak, where I played the lead roles. 'Laxman Rekha' is a funny comedy, where he is Laxman, I am Rekha. 'Utt Patang' as the name suggests it's a thriller comedy, suspense all in one," said Mona.
