Bangalore: MLA Says Not Involved in Land Regularization Scam

Bangalore, Aug 29: D N Jeevaraj, chief whip in the legislative assembly has denied his alleged involvement in the regularization of encroached government lands in N R Pura taluk of Chikmagalur district.

Terming the allegations baseless, Jeevaraj said that neither he or his family is involved in the regularization of unauthorised cultivable government lands in the taluk or constituency. He added that he is ready to face any inquiry.

It can be recalled here that Jeevaraj was behind regularization of encroached government lands in N R Pura taluk. MLA said there was no substance in charges made by the opposition leaders about his involvement in the land scam and that he was ready to face a probe by the Lokayukta or by the retired High Court judge to clear his name.
