Mangalore: Rains Revisit Coast at Night

Mangalore, Sep 6: While the rains were scarce during the day on Sunday September 5, the night turned out to be rainy. The rainfall that started on Sunday night continued till Monday morning. On Saturday too, rainfall was good at night.

The day remained sunny with some showers and cloudy weather in between on Sunday, in almost all places like the city, Beltangady, Sullia and Puttur taluks. Udupi district too got very less rains. Ankola and Agumbe recorded good rains that measured four cms each. Places to the north of Kundapur, like Kollur, Manki in Uttara Kannada district etc., received three cms of rain, with most of the other places getting rains measuring just one cm.

The meteorological department has predicted light to normal rains during the period till Tuesday morning in the coast. It said that scattered rainfall is likely to occur in the hinterland during this period.
