Bantwal, Sep 16: Raj Kumar, food inspector of Bantwal in the company of Food department clerk intercepted on definite clues a goods vehicle at Kodangekodi, Balthila on September 16 and found rice meant for ration shops in 40 sacks of 50 kg each being illegally transported towards B C Road. The rice was found in vehicle No. KA19 B 9488.
The officials stored the rice in KFC godown to prevent it from getting spoiled and the vehicle was seized by them. A criminal case under FIR No. 109/2021 under essential commodities Act 1955 was registered against vehicle driver Naufal bin Yousuf (26), resident of Sajipanadu grama, Bantwal.

Fri, Sep 17 2021This business is not new.Almost half of ration rice goes to wrong godown to sell for more price.Everybody is involved here.no control.No wonder poor people get then old rice ,or spoiled one.They blame then congress?Everyone is a thief.why blame driver who initiates this?control other Godowns also.Put them all inside .make them to pay .
